Homelessness In Uptown
Within the low-income community, we focused on the homeless population in Uptown and the social services provided to them. The main focus of the story centers on the recent shift of shelters moving from emergency lodging to long-term supportive programs designed to place the homeless in permanent housing. This recent shift is made in accordance with the Chicago Continuum of Care's Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessness and its motto, "Getting Housed, Staying Housed."
